How to delete your Piecejob account and personal data

Deletion requests are initiated inside the Piecejob mobile app for security. This page explains the steps, what will be deleted, and what may be retained.

If you cannot access the app, contact support and include your registered email/phone number. We will guide you through identity verification first.

Delete account via the Piecejob mobile app

The steps below are written to match a typical mobile flow. Your app may show slightly different wording.

Open the Piecejob app

Login to the account you want to delete.

Go to Profile → Settings

Find the section called “Account” or “Privacy”.

Select “Delete account / Delete data”

You will see a summary of what will be deleted and retained.

Verify your identity

We typically send a 6-digit code to your email/phone to confirm ownership.

Confirm deletion

Once confirmed, the request is queued and processed. You will be logged out.

Tip: If you have active jobs, ongoing bids, or unresolved payments, deletion may be temporarily blocked until they are resolved.

What will be deleted or anonymized

  • Account profile data (name, contact details, profile info) — deleted or anonymized.
  • Device/session tokens — revoked.
  • Uploaded media (where applicable) — removed, or detached from your identity.
Note: Some content may be retained in an anonymized form to maintain integrity of job records, bids, dispute logs, and other users’ history.

What may be retained (where legally required)

  • Transaction, payment, tax, and accounting records (for statutory retention periods).
  • Fraud prevention and security logs.
  • Dispute resolution records if a case is open or required for audit.

When retained, data is stored with minimal access and for compliance/security purposes only.

Frequently asked questions

Can I undo a deletion request?

If the request is still pending (not processed yet), the app may allow cancellation. Once completed, deletion is permanent.

Why do you need identity verification?

Account deletion is a high-risk action. Verification prevents someone else from deleting your account without permission.

What if I cannot access the app?

Contact support. We will request proof of ownership (e.g., verification via the email/phone number linked to the account).

How long does deletion take?

Processing time depends on verification and whether there are outstanding activities (jobs, bids, disputes, payments).

Will my messages disappear for other users?

To preserve conversation context, messages may remain but your identity may be anonymized (e.g., “Deleted user”).
